Washington Middle School鈥檚 mentor program pairs eighth-graders with sixth-graders to build positive school relationships and future leaders. They participate in activities together as 鈥渓eaders鈥 and 鈥渓earners鈥 guided by the school鈥檚 REAL culture focusing on Responsible, Encouraging, Authentic Leaders. This month, they practiced the 鈥淓ncouraging鈥 quality by making kindness rocks and the 鈥淩esponsibility鈥 quality by propagating plants. Through these activities, the mentorship instills a deeper understanding of the school’s REAL culture and builds lasting memories and relationships for everyone involved. Shoutout to counselor Jenny Page and social worker Sarah Hubbard for spearheading this pilot program!
